Johor jingle

Was in this southern most city of Malaysia for 3 days. It is like a bridge away from Singapore and there are lost of people who work in these 2 cities who keep shuttling about daily for work.

Danga Bay is like a nice resort kind of place they are building around the water front. This house for eg is made from wood, a typical Johorian way of construction.

There is a restaurant that looks like a ship. Didnt get to go in though.

The view is pretty good but the water is very dirty.

In Malaysia it can rain anytime. And in johor it seems it inevitably rains every afternoon. Despite knowing this, these school kids get drenched...Gals on cycle!

Even the boys like going home wet ...

It was Thiruonam day and I wanted to eat something mallu, atleast something southie...So I found out that the best south Indian restaurant in the city is "Restoran Amma"...so there I was, had a nice lunch...yumm

Last but not the least, my taxi driver for 3 days, Zarina is the oldest tom-boyish woman I have ever seen. She is a one hell of a Bollywood buff, you wont believe it...She knows who is seeing who, who is the daughter of which actor and wife of which film star etc etc. When she came to know that I have hindi mp3s on my laptop, we had to switch off the radio and listen to some songs...well guess which was her fav movie - Kuch kuch hota ha!!! And thats her son, Andy, 3rd child and she is only 27!!!
